Lake Pigment Set

This extensive lake pigment set will be a treasure to your pigment collection or studio.

Each colour has been hand-made following historical recipes spanning the 18th to 20th centuries.

This set includes 15 glass vials of pigment made from plants, cochineal and copper. There are 10 single origin pigments and 5 unique blends.

I’m really excited to offer a couple of Lincoln green pigments, based on the medieval textile dye that gets its name from a town in Northern England that became famous for its intense green shades of cloth. To make an intense grassy green I added a ragwort lake.

The set comes with a pamphlet about the individual colours, their history and how they were made. Each pigment will be labelled and come in a high quality, branded presentation box.
